Message from the parish!

For those preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, St. Joseph the Worker in Oshawa is pleased to present an online preparation program from HopeStone called “The Mark.”

Candidates are required to watch a total of six pre-recorded sessions, which will be released once a month starting November 10th..

Once a video has been released, you can watch it independently at your convenience, while the parish can track your progress remotely.  The first video must be completed before moving onto the next session.

Registration packages may be picked up at the parish office.

Our registration deadline is Tuesday October 26, 2021.

Please return both completed forms to the parish office along with a copy of the candidate’s baptismal certificate and a $50 registration fee.

For privacy purposes, HopeStone is required to receive from us your email address before you can access the video sessions from their website.  Once you have registered with us, the parish will send your email address to HopeStone, which will allow you to gain access to the actual videos through their website.

Our parish catechist, Kristin Boyd, will meet with candidates on zoom to do a check-in and answer questions throughout the course.

Below is a short summary about the program:

Session 1 - "The One"

  - Who is God, where did He come from and was He created?

Session 2 - "The Holy"
