We understand that retreats will look very different this upcoming school year 2021/2022.

We passionately believe that students can still have a positive spiritual experience on retreat during this time, either in person, in their classrooms or at home! We will be offering one Virtual retreat, with a brand new theme that can be offered for all high school students.

In this retreat we focus on dealing with those difficult moments or times of struggle that we have in our lives. Sometimes we may be in this moment of calm where we feel we have a handle of things, other times we can feel like we have been overwhelmed by waves and storms.

We want to offer a message of hope and healing that comes from reaching out to Christ in those moments. God will never give us a situation that we can’t handle or that He won’t provide us with a way out. With God, we can get through even the toughest of storms.

PROGRAM INCLUDES

There are 3 sessions to this retreat
Each session is 20-30+ minutes in length, with different elements
Elements are: games, talk with testimony, activity, discussions & prayer
Elements range in length of time, incase you need to adjust
Leaders can choose to run the retreat in 1 half day or break it up over 3 days.
All pre-recorded content.
Individual teacher logins available upon request.
Leaders can include students at home virtually by screen sharing.
Leaders can have progress reports sent to them for at home students.
HopeStone CAN facilitate at an additional rate if preferred.

The Calm

SESSION 1

We focus on the moments of calm in our lives. Sometimes we can feel like there is nothing happening and we just want to rush through this time to the next moment of action because it's boring and uneventful. We try to bring a different perspective to these moments of calm and how they are very important for us to be able to dive deeper and work on ourselves.

The Impact

SESSION 2

We focus on the moments of impact in our lives. These times when we feel pushed down, overwhelmed, and probably hopeless. We share our own experiences going through these moments and offer things that have helped us work through them. We also touch upon the importance of mental health and how it plays a big part in these moments of impact.

The Breakthrough

SESSION 3

We focus on healing. Healing can be hard and messy at times, but it is a crucial part that we need to go through if we want to truly rise and become stronger. We also focus on the aspect of forgiveness and how it is an important part of healing, while providing a clearer understanding of what forgiveness really is.

HOPESTONE FACILITATES

** Unlimited use gives you access until June 2021. You can use at your own pace and as often as you'd like. Teachers/chaplains can include students at home if they are sharing their screen with those students. We understand some schools have half the class at home and half the class in-person.

** HOPESTONE FACILITATES means that we have one person from our team log on, sharing their screen with your class virtually. They would facilitate the retreat for the students. Up to 3hours in length. Teachers would need to assist with tech on their end to ensure students can see the program, along with assisting with any resources (pens and paper) needed on their end and finally with group discussions.

We understand that every school and school board will handle retreats in a different manner and we will be as flexible as we possible can.

Can this retreat be used for all High School students?

- YES! We have made it relevant to all students. You can use for all or specific grades.

Do schools need to have anything prepared to facilitate the retreat?

- Internet, login information, have read through the retreat leader guide, paper/pens and to print an agenda.

Can this be done on 3 different days?

- YES! Schools can decide to run this retreat as a 1.5 - 3 hour retreat OR 3 separate sessions, over different days.

How soon can we begin?

- Immediately after you contact us and setup a login!

Will teachers be able to facilitate this?

- Absolutely! We have made a tutorial video on the platform along with an agenda for teachers/chaplains to follow.

Do we have to download specific software?

- No, but to ensure it works smoothly, check your privacy setting are not blocking the videos and files from uploading, try different internet browsers to see what works the most efficient.
